Mexico

“I had what I can only describe as an epiphany, a moment of lucid and complete surrender, in which the whole of Mexico seemed to come up inside me and I felt that this was a moment that would never end and that wherever I went I would not leave this place.”

Hugh Thomson

Mexico is a land of smiling faces, rich culture, stunning landscapes, great food, beautiful cities, and gorgeous beaches. Unfortunately, it also has a bad reputation surrounding violence and drug trafficking. Despite its reputation, we ventured into Mexico cautiously, but with open minds and ready to see what it was all about for ourselves.

We did not expect to fall in love with Mexico they way we did and if you’re willing to venture off the well-trodden gringo path of this country, you will see why. Covering almost 2,000,000 square kilometers, there is something for everybody to enjoy.

City slickers, check out our top 10 cities. Nature lovers, the Barrancas del CobreCañón del SumideroCascadas de Agua Azul, and the pink lakes of Las Coloradas are not to be missed. If ruins are more your thing, the sites at TeotihuacánChichén Itzá, Tulum, and Chacchoben will have you covered.
