Day 5: Exploring San Francisco

Friday was the day we spent the day as tourists exploring San Franciso. We had a late start and were on the road at around noon. The weather was perfect; however, a thick mist covered the Golden Gate Bridge, so we couldn’t take any pictures of that. Instead, we took pictures of the bridge we could see on the other side.

Everyone says that San Francisco is a hilly city, but you don’t realize just how hilly it is until you’re on a motorcycle. It’s like exploring the city on a roller coaster, just without the scary loops that make you wish you had chosen to skip lunch.

On the same note, Lombard Street was fun and a bit annoying with the guy in front of us continuously stopping for no particular reason. I think he just wanted to photo-bomb all the tourists taking pictures.

We also stumbled upon the Palace of Fine Arts and took the opportunity to walk around it and the surrounding area.

We finished the day at the wharf, wandering into fun little stores with kitschy souvenirs.

We stayed the night in Fremont again as we stayed with family and they were kind enough to host us and feed us for two nights.
